Handwritten manuscript, one page, 8,25 x 11,75 inch, (July 1954), in German, handwritten manuscript entitled `Richard Kuhn und Werner Kirschenlohr: Synthese der 2-Acctamino-Lactose` - from the Max Planck Institute for Medicine, Research Heidelberg, Institute of Chemistry, written and signed at the top in pencil "Richard Kuhn", with two horizontal mailing folds and very mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition.

"Durch Katalytische Hydrierung von Lactosazon erhält man nebeneinander Lactosamin (2-Desoxy-2-amino-lactose) und Iso-lactosamin (1-Desoxy-1-amino-lactulose)...Im Jahre 1886 hat E. Fischer Glucosazon in alkohol-wäßriger Lösung mit Zu-staub & Eisessig reduziert und dabei das linksstehende Iso-glucosamin (...) erhalten, dessen Acetat und Oxalat schön krystallisierten..."
