Queen Mary of Teck, born Victoria Mary Augusta Louise Olga Pauline Claudine Agnes on May 26, 1867, was the wife of King George V and the Queen consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions. She was born in Kensington Palace, London, as the daughter of Prince Francis, Duke of Teck, and Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge.
Queen Mary became engaged to Prince George, the future King George V, in 1893, and they were married on July 6, 1893, at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace. The couple had six children, including the future King Edward VIII and King George VI.
Known for her regal presence and dedication to duty, Queen Mary served as a popular and respected figure during her time as queen consort. She was known for her charity work and patronage of numerous organizations, including the British Red Cross and the Women's Royal Naval Service.
Queen Mary was also known for her love of collecting jewelry, which included a vast collection of diamonds, pearls, and other precious stones. She was often seen wearing her stunning tiaras and necklaces at state events and royal functions.
