Description
Autograph letter signed, one page, 8 x 9,5 inch, Paris, 11.01.1821, in German, to G.B. Schott Söhne (large music and music book publisher) - concerning the publication of his opera 52 (`La Tenerezza`, 1821), written and signed in black ink "I. Moscheles", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of Ignaz Moscheles (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds, a small area of paper loss to the lower edge, and waterstained to the left edge - in fine to good condition.

"Sehr geehrte Herren!
Ich habe die Ehre Ihnen anzuzeigen, daß der Tag der Publication des Tenerezza den 5. Jäner 1822 festgesetzt worden ist. (...) Schlesinger hat hier [illegible] eine Polonaise brillante für P.F. allein, und ein concertantes Potpourri für P.F. und Violine welches ich mit Lafont komponierte, herausgegeben. (...)"
Translated:
"Dear Sirs!
I have the honor to inform you that the date of the publication of the Tenerezza has been fixed for January 5th, 1822. (...) Schlesinger has here [illegible] published a brilliant polonaise for P.F. alone, and a concert potpourri for P.F. and violin which I composed with Lafont. (...)
