Autograph letter signed, two pages (both sides), 8,5 x 11 inch, `California Institute of Technology` stationery, Pasadena (California), 18.10.1977, to Dr. E. B. Kearney in San Francisco - concerning rf reduction and uptake, written and signed in black ink "M. Delbrück", with two horizontal letter folds - in nearly very fine condition.

"Dear Dr. Kearney:
There is one item of observation I failed to mention in our discussion which may be relevant to the Rf uptake mysteries, especially to the question of obligatory coupling of Rf reduction and uptake. ... I then tested whether cys or met slowed down the utilization of Rf in the riboflorin auxotroph. (They did (cys especially). ..."
