"Dear Wat -
[...] it`s quite wonderful to know that the passage of time, and lack of contact, does not indeed alter a close and firm friendship. As luck would have it, films seem now to be once again dropping (one p or two ?) into my lap - I almost had a heart attack* when Iraqe-Jordan thing came up, because I had just signed to do a film in Amman [...] Then I signed to do the one I start next week `Captain Fine" from the Robt. Louis Stevenson novel `Black Arrow` [...] And after that I have my choice of another one here in Italy or one in Spain [...] I am still single, but young ladies are no great problem over here - I am however, interested in two girls more than any others - one Swiss** and the other Swedish - Can`t make up my mind which is probably just as well as it keeps me from becoming too involved [...]
Always your friend - Lex"
