Rochus Misch (1917–2013), born in Alt Schalkowitz in Upper Silesia, was a member of the SS. From 1940 to 1945 he served in Hitler's personal escort, including duties as a bodyguard, courier and telephone operator.
He was present in the Berlin bunker during the final days of the Nazi regime.
