Description
Autograph quotation signed, one page, 7 x 6 inch, eight line quotation from "La Rèino Jano"*, written and signed in dark ink "F. Mistral", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Frederic Mistral in a chest-up portrait (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

* `La Réino Jano` (`Queen Joanna`), Mistral's only drama, is a Provençal tragedy in five acts and in verse (published in 1890) which has Queen Joanna I of Naples (1326-1382) as a protagonist, who was Countess of Provence, leaving beautiful memories to the provencals. Mistral paints in lyrics the turbulent life of this women who has been married 4 times and represented an important piece on the political map of Western Europe in the second half of the 14th century.
