Description
Collection of four autograph letters, in various formats, (about 1893), in French, to his daughter Juliette or his son-in-law Léon Bessand - including confidential matters, all written in dark ink, mostly with a horizontal letter fold, scattered mild signs of wear, and one with soiling - overall in fine condition. Accompanied by three autograph letters signed from his wife Ninon to Juliette, 5 envelopes and an unsigned photo.
In parts:
Translated:
"[...] I love you so much - you are my life - and it's so true! - I still have a lot to do - but I want to leave Saturday morning - this bet is odious to me [...]" / "[...] I begged you not to speak to the Heugels about your father's work, about the completion of his work which he must be unaware of, and I hastened to warn you before leaving for Maillane - it would cause me great trouble if gossip were spread about it [...]"
