Typed letter signed, one page, 8,5 x 11 inch, `The Rockefeller Institute` stationery, West Cornwall (Connecticut), 8.07.1959, to a "Miss Loewenstein" - concerning "Your three volumes", signed in blue ink "Peyton Rous", with a horizontal letter fold and very mild signs of wear to the upper edge - in fine to very fine condition.
In part:
"Dear Miss Loewenstein:
Your three volumes are here and how I am enjoying them, with the more reason because of a belief that they are your own copies, most generously given. Begun as bedside reading, they`ve proved too exciting for that. Theodor Meysels makes one really see things. [...]"
