Document signed, one page, 8,5 x 10,25 inch, Paris, 14.05.1781, in French, partially printed document being a payment order in favour of Mr. Sellouf for the amount of one thousand Pounds, signed in black ink "Le Cte. de Buffon" - additionally signed by four bankers of the Company Epurement, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with an engraving of Georges Leclerc, Cte de Buffon (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds and foxing - in nearly fine condition.
