Description
Original handdrawn sketch signed, one page (with an affixed magazine picture), 5,25 x 3,5 inch, Chaplin`s sketch shows a self-portrait of himself as `The Tramp`, drawn, signed and inscribed in blue ink "To Peter - Lots of love - Charlie Chaplin", attractively affixed for fine display to an exclusively designed custom-matting (altogether 11,75 x 16,5 inch), with mild signs of age wear - in fine to very fine condition.
Accompanied by an autograph book containing signatures by Golden Age Hollywood actors, including Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and his wife, as well as Leslie Howard, who writes "To Peter - with lots of good luck - Leslie Howard" - autographs were obtained in the early 1940s.
