Autograph manuscript/conclusion of a letter, one page, 6,25 x 2,5 inch - affixed on slightly larger cardboard, in French, to "Emma", written and signed in dark ink "Talleyrand", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a picture of Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord seated at a desk (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with soiling and heavily trimmed - in good condition.
In parts:
"[...] adieu, ma chère Emma, je vous renouvelle l`assurance de mon bien tendre attachement. Talleyrand
Valencay 4 nov. 1819"
Translated:
"[...] Farewell, my dear Emma, I renew to you the assurance of my tender affection.

Further Information on the person
Profession:
(1754-1838) 1st Prince of Benevento, then Prince of Talleyrand, was a French clergyman and leading diplomat. He was Napoleon's chief diplomat during the years when French military victories brought one European state after another under French hegemony.
