Despite facing numerous challenges, including disease, lack of resources, and cultural differences, Schweitzer remained committed to his mission of providing medical care to the local people.
Throughout his life, Schweitzer continued to advocate for peace, justice, and environmental conservation. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952 for his efforts in promoting these values.
