He starred in several movies, including "Knute Rockne, All American," which brought him national recognition. However, Reagan's career in acting took a backseat when he became involved in politics.

In 1966, Reagan was elected as the Governor of California. He served two terms and became known for his conservative policies and strong stance against communism. Reagan's popularity among conservatives led him to launch a presidential campaign in 1980.

In 1981, Ronald Reagan was inaugurated as the 40th President of the United States. He implemented several economic policies and initiatives that became collectively known as Reaganomics. His conservative agenda included tax cuts, deregulation, and increased defense spending.

During his presidency, Reagan faced several significant challenges, such as the Cold War and the threat of nuclear warfare.
