Abdullah II, the King of Jordan, was born on January 30, 1962, in Amman. He is the eldest son of King Hussein and his second wife, Princess Muna Al-Hussein. Abdullah was educated in the United States and the United Kingdom, attending both St. Edmund's School in Surrey and Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.
After completing his education, Abdullah joined the British military, where he received training and served as a cavalry officer in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars. He then returned to Jordan and was appointed as the commander of Jordan's Special Forces in 1994.
Abdullah became the King of Jordan on February 7, 1999, following the death of his father, King Hussein. He has since worked to modernize and reform Jordan, focusing on education, economic development, and political reform.
Under Abdullah's leadership, Jordan has maintained a stable and peaceful relationship with its neighbors and has played a key role in promoting peace in the region. He has been an active advocate for interfaith dialogue and has worked to promote tolerance and understanding among different religions.
In addition to his work in Jordan, Abdullah is also known for his efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East. He has been a vocal supporter of the two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has worked to strengthen ties with other countries in the region.
Abdullah is married to Queen Rania, and the couple has four children together. He is an avid sportsman and enjoys activities such as skydiving, scuba diving, and motorcycling. Abdullah is also a published author and has written several books on topics such as Jordanian politics and military history.
