Description
Letter signed, one page, 4,5 x 7,75 inch, Rome, 3.02.1852, in Latin, to "Beatissimo Padre" with the granting of indulgences for the "giovanetti e fratelli" of the "Oratorio di Verona", signed at the bottom in black ink "Pro Gratia - Pius PP. IX.", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of Pope Pius IX (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with intersecting letter folds and mild foxing - in fine condition. Accompanied by a carte de visite and a coloured picture (both 2,5 x 4 inch).

Sorini dell`Oratorio di Verona espone siccome pacendo egli da Prefetto dell` oratorio nella visita delle sette Chiese solita farsi coi giovanetti e fratelli il venerdi ultimo, o il giorno ultimo di Carnevale godevano l`indulgenza plenaria per Breve Pontifirio a tempo. Essendo questo tempo passato supplirano umilmente la santita vostra ad accordar loro perquest`anno la predetta Indulgenza; che quanto all`avvenire si provederanno coi mezzi ordinari."
