Letter signed, one page - additionally addressed on a conjoined sheet (including the official paper seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), 9,25 x 15 inch, `Palacio des Necessidades` (Lisbon), 23.02.1859 (a few months before the death of Pedro V as a result of a fever epidemic), in Portuguese, untranslated, to Duke Braschi (= Pio Braschi Duque de Nemi, died in 1864, a nephew of Pope Pius VI.) - Pedro V of Portugal thanks his correspondent for his congratulations on Christmas, signed by Pedro V of Portugal in black ink "Rei", with intersecting letter folds, light soiling, and mild signs of wear to the edges - in fine condition.
