Description
Autograph letter signed, one page, 8,25 x 11,25 inch, (Radolfzell), 25.06.1962, in German, to (Max) Roesberg - Otto Dix thanks his correspondent for congratulations and and gives a tip to the address of artist Hans Meyboden (1901-1965), written and signed in blue ink "Otto Dix", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Dix in a close-up portrait (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds, scattered mild stains, and mounting remnants along the left edge - in fine condition.
In parts:
"[...] Ich habe hier vergeblich nach der Adresse von Meyboden gesucht, er wohnt aber in Freiburg i(m) Breisgau. Schreiben Sie doch einfach, unter der Adresse `Augustiner Museum` Freiburg, so wird er es sicher erhalten [...]"
Translated:
"[...] I have searched in vain for the address of Meyboden, but he lives in Freiburg im Breisgau. Simply write, under the address `Augustiner Museum` Freiburg, he will receive it safely[...]"
