Autograph manuscript, one page, 8,25 x 12 inch, [autumn 1924?], in Italian, notes on the constitutional charter in force when the Fascists took power in 1922, written in dark ink & partly in pencil, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Benito Mussolini during a speech (altogether 18 x 13,25 inch), with mild signs of wear to the corners - in fine to very fine condition.

"Gia dal 1875 Crispi denunciava la crisi del parlamento [...] e chiedeva la riforma dello Statuto [...]. Minghetti replicava: Ammetto la riforma statutaria [...] Nel 1883 Agostino Bertani cosi si esprimeva: Il suffragio universale e legato indissolubilmente alla riforma dello Statuto [...] Bisogna rendere lo Statuto piu conforme alle esigenze dei tempi nuovi [...] Voi avete ad una ad una stracciate tutte le pagine dello Statuto. Avete fatto scempio de tutte le nostre liberta [...]"
Translated:
"Already since 1875 Crispi denounced the crisis of the parliament [...] and asked for the reform of the Statute [...]. Minghetti replied: I admit the statutory reform [...] In 1883 Agostino Bertani put it this way: Universal suffrage is inextricably linked to the reform of the Statute [...] We need to make the Statute more compliant with the needs of the new times [... ] You have torn all the pages of the Statute one by one. You have ruined all our freedoms [...]"
