Rosa Parks was born Rosa Louise McCauley in Tuskegee, Alabama on February 4, 1913. Her parents were James and Leona McCauley. She was a civil rights activist who is best known for her role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Rosa Parks was a seamstress by day and a civil rights activist by night.
