Biography (AI generated)

Auguste Rodin was a French sculptor who is considered one of the greatest artists of the modern era. He was born on November 12, 1840 in Paris, France. Rodin showed an early talent for art and began studying at the Petite École, a school for drawing and mathematics, at the age of 14.

In 1864, Rodin moved to Brussels to work as an assistant to the sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse. It was during this time that he began to develop his own style and gain recognition for his work. Rodin's career took off in the late 1870s when he created his famous sculpture, The Age of Bronze, which was a life-size depiction of a naked male figure.

Over the next few decades, Rodin created some of his most enduring works, including The Thinker, The Kiss, and The Gates of Hell. His sculptures were known for their realistic detail and emotional depth, and he was able to capture the human form in ways that had never been seen before.

Despite his success, Rodin faced numerous challenges throughout his life, including financial difficulties and controversy surrounding his work. However, he continued to create art until his death on November 17, 1917 in Meudon, France.

Today, Auguste Rodin is regarded as one of the most influential sculptors in history, and his work continues to inspire artists and art lovers around the world. His legacy lives on through his sculptures, which can be found in museums and public spaces across the globe.
