Letter signed, two pages (both sides), 5,5 x 4 inch, `Les Collines` letterhead, (Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France), 31.08.1968, in French, thank you letter to "Cher monsieur Rihner", written by his second wife Valentina `Vava` Brodsky in blue ink & signed by Marc Chagall in dark ink, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph of both (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), in very fine condition.

   Excusez-moi, je vous prie, de ne pas vous avoir écrit plus tôt ces quelques lignes pour vous remercier de le ceinture que vous m`a[/]vez faite.
   Avant mon départ de Zurich, j`ai été très pris et n`en ai plus trouvé le temps.
