Autograph letter signed, one page, 5,25 x 7,5 inch, [1867], in French, brief letter to the music publisher Antoine de Choudens* - concerning the costume of Jeanne De Vriès**, written and signed in black ink "Georges Bizet", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Georges Bizet in a chest-up portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition.
"Costume De Vriès pas prêt. Dites un mot au théâtre. Vous seul pouvez décider l'administration à faire terminer ce costume
avec mille amitiés - Georges Bizet"
Translated:
"De Vriès costume not ready. Say a word to the theatre. Only you can decide the administration to have this costume finished.

* Georges Bizet was a close friend of Antoine de Choudens, for whom he also executed works of copy and arrangements, in particular the reduction for piano and voice of Charles Gounod's opera `The Queen of Sheba`.
** The singer Jeanne De Vriès created the role of Catherine Glover in Georges Bizet's opera `La Jolie fille de Perth` in December 1867.
