Eugène Rose de Beauharnais, Duke of Leuchtenberg Autograph

Autograph letter signed, two pages (both sides), 6,25 x 8 inch, Ismaning, 21.05.1821, in French, to his cousin Stéphanie* - concerning a report and the upcoming visit to the birthday party of his father-in-law Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria (27.05.1756-13.10.1825), written and signed by Eugène de Beauharnais in black ink "Eugène", with mild signs of age wear - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by a vintage postcard picture of of Eugène de Beauharnais in uniform.

"Ma très chère Cousine,
Je vous envoie la traduction d`un Rapport que j`ai recu d`Eichstett sur la réclamation de M[a]d[am]e de Walderndorff. Veuillez bien la lui communiquer. Les autorités locales sont très disposées à lui être utiles [...] nous allons sous peu de jours à Tegernsée la p[rince]sse et moi pour y passer deux jours a l`occasion de la fête du Roi [...]

"My dear cousin,
I am sending you the translation of a Report that I received from Eichstett on the complaint of Madame de Walderndorff. Please communicate it to him.
