Lee was an accomplished actor, having appeared in over 200 films and television series throughout his long career. He is well known for his roles in horror films such as the Hammer films, as well as The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and The Hobbit. He was also a singer and a writer, having written autobiography and several other books.

Lee joined the Royal Air Force during World War II, and was later transferred to the Special Forces. He was a part of several secret missions, and was decorated several times for his bravery. After the war, Lee returned to acting and began to appear in several films and television series. He was best known for his roles in Hammer films such as The Curse of Frankenstein and Dracula.

Lee also appeared in several big-budget films, including The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and The Hobbit. He also provided the voice of Saruman in the Lord of the Rings films, and appeared in the Star Wars prequels as Count Dooku. Lee also appeared in several other films, including The Wicker Man, Sleepy Hollow, and The Man with the Golden Gun.
