Autograph letter signed, 1 1/2 pages (both sides), 5,25 x 7,5 inch, in French, to the actor Adolphe Laferriere (1806-1877, one of Dumas' favorite actors) - concerning his role of Anthony in a play by Alexandre Dumas and a dinner with Napoleon III (1808-1873), written and signed in black ink "Alex Dumas", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a photograph, shows Alexandre Dumas (pere) in a half length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with mild signs of age wear - in fine to very fine condition.
In parts (translated):
"[...] Talk to Holstein about Mme Stolz for Adele d`Hervey [heroine of Antony]. Yesterday I had dinner with Napoleon, who claims that the two of you will make the whole of Paris run. [...] go and see the Museum brought back by the Prince from his trip to the North Pole [...]
