Abu Bakar was the Sultan of Pahang from 1974 until his death in 1976. Born in 1904, he was the eldest son of Sultan Ahmad Al-Muadzam Shah and Raja Hajjah Fatima binti Almarhum Sultan Ismail.
Abu Bakar received his education at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar before continuing his studies in England. He eventually returned to Pahang to assist his father in governing the state.
During his reign, Sultan Abu Bakar focused on modernizing and developing Pahang. He implemented various infrastructure projects, including the construction of roads, schools, and hospitals. He also promoted education and economic growth in the state.
Sultan Abu Bakar was known for his generosity and dedication to the welfare of his people. He was greatly respected and admired by the people of Pahang for his leadership and kindness.
