Typed letter signed, one page, 8 x 11 inch, Brooklyn N. Y., 19.11.1941, in Norwegian, reply letter to Mr. Thiele - concerning a Spanish edition of her work `Kristin Lavransdatter`*, signed in dark ink "Sigrit Undset", with intersecting letter folds - in nearly very fine condition.

Takk for Deres brev av 1. ds.
Med hensyn til en spansk utgave av Kristin Lavransdatter sa har jeg hatt flere henvendelser derom, men da jeg ingen agent har i Syd-Amerika, har min forlegger her, Alfred A. Knopf Inc., 5ol Madison Avenue, overtatt a undersoke forholdene og fore forhandlingerne for mig. [...]"

* Her best-known work is `Kristin Lavransdatter`, a trilogy about life in Norway in the Middle Ages, portrayed through the experiences of a woman from birth until death. Its three volumes were published between 1920 and 1922.
