In 1907, he organized the first experimental camp on Brownsea Island, which laid the foundation for what would later become the Boy Scouts.

The success of the Boy Scouts movement led Baden-Powell to resign from the military in 1910 and dedicate himself full-time to expanding and promoting the organization. He wrote a book called "Scouting for Boys" that became a bestseller and helped spread the principles of scouting around the world.

Baden-Powell's impact on youth development was immense, and his legacy continues to this day. He was knighted in 1927 for his contributions to scouting and passed away on January 8, 1941, in Kenya, where he had retired.
