* `Calligraphie japonaise` is a film by Pierre Alechinsky (1957 - 16 minutes - B/W - 16 mm). Pierre Alechinsky made several trips to the Far East and in 1955 shot this documentary film on this traditional Japanese art in Kyoto.
** AICA - the International Association of Art Critics (`Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art`) was founded in 1950 to revitalize critical discourse, which suffered under Fascism during World War II.
