Letter signed, one page, 8,5 x 13,5 inch, `V. Armee-Corps - General Commando`* stationery, Headquarters Liegnitz, August 30th, 1835, in German, to the Royal Privy Councilor Knight etc. Lord of Woyrsch - concerning military affairs, signed in dark ink "v. Grolman", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a picture, shows Karl von Grolman in a half length pose (altogether 19,5 x 15 inch), with horizontal mailing folds and a stain - in fine to very fine condition.

Nach der Verfügung des Herrn Kriegsministers Excellenz sollen sämmtliche
zur Berittenmachung der fremenden Officiere bestimmte Pferde des 2ten und
3ten Dragoner-Regiments und 3ten Ulanen-Regiments zunächst hier
in Liegnitz concentrirt und demnächst am 2ten September wieder zum
6ten Armee-Corps gesandt werden. In Folge dessen habe ich verfügt,
daß diese Pferde, etwa 100 an der Zahl, mit etwa 40 kommandirten
Mannschaften am 2ten September von hier nach Ober Mois und Perschen-
dorf rücken, um dann am 3ten nach Kanth zu gehen, und indem ich nicht
ermangele, Euer Hochwohlgeboren hiervon ergebenst in Kenntniß zu
setzen, ersuche ich Sie ebenmäßig, wegen der Unterbringung dieser
Mannschaften und Pferde in den genannten Ortschaften die erforder-
lichen Verfügungen dergestalt zu treffen, daß auch die Verabreich-
ung der Fourage gesichert ist.
