Document signed, one page, 8,5 x 13,75 inch, Berlin, 26.01.1875, `Chef des General-Stabes der Armee` stationery, in German, to Mr. Jenke, Member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Saxon State Railways, in Dresden - asking whether he wishes to remain designated for service as an administrative officer in a military railway directorate in the event of mobilization between 1 April 1875 and 31 March 1876, signed by Helmuth K. B. Graf von Moltke in black ink "Gr. v. Moltke", with mild signs of handling wear - in fine to very fine condition.

"[...] ob es Ihren Wünschen entspricht [...] für den Fall einer in der Zeit vom 1. April 1875 bis 31. Maerz 1876 eintretenden Mobilmachung als Verwaltungs-Beamter der Betriebs-Abtheilung der im Bedarfsfalle zu formirenden zweiten Militair-Eisenbahn-Direction designirt zu bleiben, um so Ihren bewährten Kräften auch ferner das militärische Feld-Eisenbahn-Wesen zu unterstützen [...]"
Translated:
