Autograph letter signed, one page, 5 x 7,5 inch, `Ministère des Affaires Etrangères` letterhead, (Paris), 26.07.1849, in French, to an unnamed gentleman - concerning a request, written and signed in black ink "Guizot", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Francois Guizot in a half length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a horizontal letter fold and mild browning - in fine to very fine condition.
"Mon cher Monsieur, lirez, je vous prie, les papiers ci-joints, et donnez les ordres que vous pouvez donner au havre pour mettre d`honnête, que à l`abri des violences d`un fou. Ce sont des amis à moi, du havre, qui m`ont adressé cette demande.
