Both of them come from artistic families, with Albano's father being a farmer and Romina's parents being the famous American actor Tyrone Power and Mexican actress Linda Christian.

The couple first met in 1967 when Albano was performing at a music festival in Italy. They fell in love and decided to form a professional and personal partnership. Their first hit as a duo came in 1970 with the song "Sharazan," which became a chart-topper in many European countries. This success led to a series of albums and tours throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
