* Am 22. September 1928 leitete der Komponist Pietro Mascagni den Wettbewerb von lokalen Musikgruppen in Lardello. Er weilte in Lardello und Castelnuovo als Gast von Prinz Piero Ginori Conti. Dieser Brief bezieht sich auf einen Streit mit dem Bürgermeister von Massa Marittima, wahrscheinlich über den Gewinner.
