Two typed letters signed, (2x) one page, (2x) 8,25 x 11,5 inch, personal stationery, Saint Tropez, 27.07. & 14.08.1968, in German, to the editor Marguerite Schlüter -  concerning his lyric volume `Fritz von Opel - Zwischen Schatten und Licht` (1968) and an invitation for his correspondent, signed by Firz von Opel in blue and in black ink, both letters with a intersecting mailing folds, one letter with an affixed (stapled at the upper left corner) typed letter from Marguerite Schlüter (10.08.1968) - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by his lyric volume `Fritz von Opel - Zwischen Schatten und Licht`.

In parts:

- 27.07.1968: "... ich weiß, daß Sie überbeschäftigt sind, aber gerade deshalb möchte ich das Ungewöhnliche tun und mich als Schuldner bei Ihrem Verlag melden..." (translated: "... I know that you are over-employed, but that is precisely why I would like to do the unusual and report to your publisher as a debtor...")

- 14.08.1968: "... Dieses Jahr komme ich vermutlich erst recht spät nach Wiesbaden, da ich hier in Ruhe arbeiten möchte. Wenn Sie aber Lust haben, Ihre kurzen Ferien vor der Buchmesse statt im Tessin bei mir zu verbringen, würde ich mich sehr freuen..." (translated: "... This year I will probably come to Wiesbaden quite late because I want to work here in peace. But if you would like to spend your short vacation with me before the book fair instead of in Ticino, I would be very happy..."
