Profession:
(1893-1946) German theorist and an influential ideologue of the Nazi Party
Year of Birth: 1893
Alfred Rosenberg was born on January 12, 1893, in Reval, Russian Empire (now Tallinn, Estonia). He was a prominent figure in Nazi Germany, known for his role in shaping Nazi ideology and propaganda.
Rosenberg joined the Nazi Party in 1919 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a close confidant of Adolf Hitler. He played a key role in the development of the party's anti-Semitic and anti-Bolshevik ideologies, which were central to the Nazi regime's policies.
In 1933, Rosenberg was appointed as the head of the Office of Foreign Affairs, where he continued to spread Nazi propaganda and ideology to other countries. He also served as the Minister for the Eastern Occupied Territories during World War II, overseeing the brutal treatment of civilians in the occupied territories.
After the war, Rosenberg was tried at the Nuremberg Trials for crimes against humanity, including his role in the Holocaust. He was found guilty and executed on October 16, 1946.
Despite his controversial and reprehensible actions, Alfred Rosenberg remains a crucial figure in understanding the ideologies and policies of the Nazi regime and their impact on the world.
His legacy serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers of extremism and hate-filled ideologies.
