Typed letter signed, one page, 5 x 5,75 inch, `California Institute of Technology - Pasadena` letterhead, (Pasadena), 22.06.1948, reply letter to Mr. Ostroll in La Mesa (California) - concerning a request for copies, signed in dark ink "R. A. Millikan", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Robert A. Millikan in a head and shoulders portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.
"I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your letter of June 13th, and to say in reply that I presume that the series of papers given here will untimately be printed in substance in the Physical Review or in the Review of Modern Physics. I have no copies of them and therefore must regret that I cannot meet your request for copies.
