Autograph letter signed, one page (also addressed verso) - on a `Musikhaus Breitkopf & Härtel` business postcard, 5,5 x 3,75 inch, Berlin-Friedenau, 29.12.1918, in German, reply letter to music publisher Breitkopf & Härtel* - concerning his work `Requiem für Mignon` **, written and signed in black ink "Dr. Max Bruch", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Max Bruch in a half length portrait (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with two file holes to the upper edge and a pencil note near the upper left corner - in fine to very fine condition.

* Breitkopf & Härtel is a German music publishing house. Founded in 1719 in Leipzig by Bernhard Christoph Breitkopf, it is the world's oldest music publisher.
** `Trauerfeier [or Requiem] für Mignon` (Op. 93) was Bruch`s last choral work. Based on words by Goethe, and scored for soloists, double choir, organ and orchestra, Bruch's work was written in 1918, when the composer was eighty. It was published by Leuckart in Leipzig in 1919.
