Autograph note (unsigned), one page - on the reverse of a copy with a note `Handschr. Vermerk von Ludwig Erhard 18.9.72`(=`Handwr. note by Ludwig Erhard 18.9.72`) *, 7,75 x 5,75 inch, (18.09.1972), in German, concerning detectives carrying firearms to protect government officials, written in blue ballpoint ink, attractively mounted (removable) for display with a photograph, shows Ludwig Erhard in a close-up portrait (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with a central vertical letter fold, and trimmed to the upper right corner - in fine to very fine condition.

"Ein Kriminalbeamter, der zum Schutze von Regierungsmitgliedern oder sonstigen `Geheimnisträgern` bisher auch eine Schußwaffe tragen durfte, ist nach Absprache `Bahr-Kohl` daran verhindert. Selbst der Kriminalbeamte, der den Kanzler zu schützen hat, darf mit seinem Einvernehmen keine Waffe mehr tragen darf."

Translated:
"A detective, who was previously allowed to carry a firearm to protect members of the government or other 'secret holders', has been prevented from doing so by agreement with 'Bahr-Kohl'. Even the detective, who has to protect the chancellor, is no longer allowed to carry a weapon with his consent"
