Louis Bouilhet Autograph

Autograph letter signed, one page, 5,25 x 7,75 inch, in French, thank-you letter to "Chère Madame", written and signed in black ink "L. Bouilhet", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a photograph, shows Louis Bouilhet in a half length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a intersecting letter folds and mild signs of wear - in fine condition.

"Chère Madame,
Comment vous exprimer ma reconnaissance?
vous m`avez sauvé, ce mot là dit tout!
c`est une dette eternelle qu`a contractée, envers vous, votre heureux et bien dévoué serviteur -

La nouvelle m`a été transmit, hier, par un de mes amis du ministére - j`ai été ce matin, pour voir Mr. Gautiés - mais je ne l`ai pas trouvé!"
