Autograph letter signed, one page - addressed and postmarked verso, 4,5 x 5,5 inch, 23.05.1912, in French, to "Alfred Roll" (President of the Society of Fine Arts) - Charles Dufresne recommends him two sculptor friends, Cavaillon and Wlérick, partners for several years, written and signed in dark ink "Charles Dufresne", with scattered mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition.
In parts:
"[...] vous recommander deux sculpteurs de mes bons amis Cavaillon Wlérick - associés depuis plusieurs années - n`ayant pu vous montrer leurs oeuvres au Salon je serais très heureux que vous les regardiez car certainement vous les jugerez dignes de votre bienveillant appui pour le sociétariat. [...]"
Translated:
"[...] recommend two sculptors of my good friends Cavaillon Wlérick - associates for several years - not having been able to show you their works at the Salon I would be very happy for you to look at them because you will certainly judge them worthy of your benevolent support for the membership. [...]"
