George Harrison and Richard Starkey, better known by their stage names of George Harrison and Ringo Starr, were two of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century. They were both members of the legendary English rock band The Beatles, and their musical and songwriting contributions helped to make the band one of the most successful groups ever.

George Harrison was born in Liverpool on February 25th, 1943. As a young boy, he developed a strong passion for music and began playing guitar. He formed a band called The Quarrymen with school friends John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and the rest is history. He quickly became the lead guitarist of the group, and his innovative guitar playing style was a major influence on the band's sound. He also wrote several of The Beatles' most beloved songs, including "Something," "Here Comes The Sun" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey, was the last member of The Beatles to join the band. He was born in Liverpool on July 7th, 1940 and started playing drums at the age of 15. He joined the band in 1962 and soon became a popular member due to his unique drumming style. He sang lead vocals on several of The Beatles' songs, including "With A Little Help From My Friends," "Yellow Submarine" and "Octopus's Garden." His quirky sense of humor and laidback personality endeared him to fans all over the world.

Both George and Ringo were key contributors to The Beatles' success and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as members of the group in 1988. After The Beatles disbanded in 1970, both men had successful solo careers. George released several acclaimed albums, including All Things Must Pass and Cloud Nine, and wrote the hit single "My Sweet Lord." Ringo released a string of successful solo albums and had a hit single with "Photograph."

Both George and Ringo remained close friends throughout their careers and collaborated on several musical projects. They also co-wrote the song "I'm the Greatest" for Ringo's 1973 album, Ringo. They reunited for The Beatles' Anthology project in 1995 and toured together in 2002 as part of Ringo's All-Starr Band.

The legacy of George Harrison and Ringo Starr continues to live on. Their influence on the music world is undeniable, and their songs and performances will be remembered for generations to come.
