Autograph letter signed, 1 1/2 pages (both sides), 5 x 6,5 inch, November 1905 (Nadar annotates to the heading before the date "(?...)", meaning that he has no idea what day it is), in French, to an unidentified correspondent - mentioning François-René de Chateaubriand*, written and signed in black ink "Nadar", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Nadar seated in a chair (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a central horizontal letter fold - in fine to very fine condition.
In parts:
Translated:
"Your young friend has come all the better (-first because with you, dearly beloved Madame) as we believe we have unearthed notes for him which seem to me to be of interest to him, because I, who do not Chateaubrille [illegible], have been bitten there; it is the diary, day by day, of a girlfriend, although an intimate child of Chateaubriand*. [...] But Friday is very long! Won't you give us a little advance? [...]"
