Letter signed, one page, 7,75 x 9,75 inch, Vienna, 1.0.1809, in French, to Henri-Jacques-Guillaume Clarke* - concerning the payment of troops, signed by Eugène de Beauharnais in black ink "Eugène Napoleon", with an addendum from august 16th to the upper left corner, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of Eugène de Beauharnais in uniform (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition.

"Je vous réviens, Monsieur le chef d'État major Guillaume, [...] des soutributions à Graetz Deux million des florins. Vous veilleres à ce que cette somme soit employée taut au payernent de la Solde qu`avez 40 mille francs accordér par régiment. - Sur ce, Monsieur le chef d`Etat major [...], Je prie Dieu qu'il vous ait en sa sainte garde.
