David Carradine was born John Arthur Carradine on December 8th, 1936 in Hollywood, California. He was the eldest son of actor John Carradine and his wife Ardanelle. His siblings were Keith Carradine, Robert Carradine, and Bruce Carradine. Carradine began his acting career in 1956, appearing in his father’s film The Young Stranger. He continued to act in minor roles before landing a leading role in the 1972 film Boxcar Bertha.

Carradine went on to appear in numerous films throughout his career, including Death Race 2000, The Serpent’s Egg, Bound for Glory, and Kill Bill. He also had a successful career on television, where he appeared in Kung Fu, the miniseries Centennial, and the television movie North and South. In 1998, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his performance in the television movie Queen of the Stardust Ballroom.

Carradine was known for his unique sense of style and his willingness to take risks. He was also an accomplished musician, playing the flute, guitar, and banjo. He wrote and performed two songs for the soundtrack of Kill Bill, and he released his first album, Spiritual Planet, in 2000.

Carradine was married five times throughout his life, and he had four children. In 2009, he was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room. The cause of death was ruled as accidental asphyxiation.
