Autograph letter signed, one page, 8 x 10,25 inch, 13.02.1917, in French, to his friend the musician Paul Dukas - Camille Saint-Saens writes about his musical performances at the `Odéon-Théâtre de l'Europe`* and his upcoming trips to Monte Carlo and Rome**, written and signed in dark ink "C. Saint-Saëns", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a picture of `The Carnival of the Animals` (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

* On February 8, Alfred de Musset's play “On ne kidine pas avec l'amour” was performed at the Odéon with incidental music by Saint-Saëns.
** In March, Saint-Saëns traveled to Italy, making stops in Marseille and Monte-Carlo, where he gave a concert for charity. In Rome he staged "Samson and Delilah" at the Costanzi Theater and gave a concert at the Santa Cecilia Academy, where he appeared as a pianist and conductor.
