Description
Autograph letter (postcard) signed, one page - addressed verso, 3,5 x 5,5 inch, (Munich), (25.10.1901), in German, to his wife Luise - inter alia concerning a meeting with the Röntgens*, written and signed in pencil "W.", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph of Wilhelm Wien (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with browning and a few stains - in fine condition.
Translated:
"Dear Luise,
I am writing this card at the Cafe Luitpold, after I had [illegible] just now and checked in at the Hotel Wolf. The examiner was fairly boring. [text blurred by stain]. It is over now. There will be school on Monday. Tuesday afternoon I will travel. At noon tomorrow, I will go to the Röntgens; the [illegible plural name] will be there as well.
The weather is too bad for an excursion.
The [as above] are staying in a guesthouse, and they find it very satisfactory.
The next time we will do that too.
Just make sure you are all right when I get back.
Greetings - W."
