Description
"Mon cher Bonnetain,
Translation:
"My dear Bonnetain
I thank you cordially and I send you herewith my card to Hartmann. I hope he will not dare refuse you other melodies which he probably has not taken new printed proofs. As for the Invitation au Voyage [Baudelaire poem, he had set to music], it has never been published : the only manuscript copy that exists is in the hands of Mr. Perivier [co-director of Figaro] who I had given with le Jet d`eau [other Baudelaire poem]. It seems to me that request 100 francs for Les Cloches [poem contained in Les Nevroses] is not extravagant. If however the thing seemed so, it then gives me the regular price of these kinds of publications.
I look forward to your visit Fresselines is only postponed, and I send you with all my new thanks vigorous handshake.
Sincerely,
Maurice Rollinat. "
Post-scriptum : "Actually, I do not know at all how much can be payed this kind of music publications. If 100 f. is too much or not enough, do as you would for yourself: I leave you absolutely free to resolve the matter as you think. "
