Autograph letter signed, one page - addressed and postmarked verso, 6 x 9,5 inch, `Torre del Lago (Toscane)` stationery, 10.07.1915, in Italian, untranslated, to a collaborator of the Officine Ricordi in charge of renewing his passport, written and signed in black ink "G. Puccini" - additionally addressed in his hand, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Puccini seated at a piano (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with three horizontal letter folds, and scattered mild signs of wear - in fine condition.

His first successful opera, "Manon Lescaut," premiered in 1893 and marked the beginning of his prolific career. Puccini went on to create several other successful operas, including "La Bohème," "Tosca," and "Madama Butterfly."
Puccini's operas are known for their lush orchestrations, melodic richness, and emotional intensity. His works combine Italian lyricism with elements of verismo, creating a unique and powerful blend of music and drama.
Despite facing personal challenges and tragedies throughout his life, including the loss of his wife and son, Puccini continued to compose and achieve great success as a composer. He died on November 29, 1924, in Brussels, Belgium, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable operatic masterpieces.
